Hello All!

Good Evening from Down under! I just discovered this forum today and joined today.
i have a few questions on the UCS and also the VS Aust routes:

1) Has VS received FINAL Approval from both AUST and HKG government. Because CX haven't being granted the LHR-JFK yet and I thought the whole deal is that CX will get the atlantic route and VS will get the Aust route. Can someone give me a DEFINITELY confirmation on this? (I know in their Press Release VS did not say anything about subject to government approval, but a senior member from CX commented on Reuters that VS's annoucement = Premmature as HKG has not released the traffic right to VS as yet.

2) What equipment will they use on this route? 346 or 744?

3) Will there be a New Lounge in SYD? or they will use the SQ or KL lounge?

4) Will they offer the Limo Service (What ticket Class is eligible for this?)

I will post the UCS questions in a different thread to make it easier to read.

Many Thanks!:)

4) Limo service should be included on Upper Class tickets regardless, except when you are holding a Z ticket, or a ticket that is a freebie or similar. Thats how it tends to work now anyway so i see no reason why SYD would be different.

I beleive tickets have gone on sale via the call centre - nothing as yet on the VS web site though, still showing the code share flight operated by Malaysia.

Availability tool is showing the VS200 flight to SYD from Dec 8th.

I just tried departing on 14 Dec and returning 21 Dec and it provided the new VS200 route as well as the MH codeshare. Then i tried April and same - the new route is there! Errr...not sure what to suggest pegitt? Try again maybe? :)

yeah just been back on the but it only gives opt's for ECON/BUS. i'm guessing that BUS is the same as UC so thats the price for UC but there's no PE opt yet.

You can ONLY book Y Class on the UK Website.

I think VS has not obtained the FULL Government Apporval. Hence thye cannot PICKUP pax in HKG to goto SYD yet.

I know here in SYD no promo or fares are available at the moemnt. I heard from my travel agent that they are hiring a VS Sales Rep here soon.

Yeah fair point - the PE and UC tickets don't seem to be sorted yet on this route. When i selected business, it showed me the codeshare again...

Same problem for LGW-NAS from 18 Jul 2005 onwards (Mondays only) VH website shows the direct option as well as the MIA route but when you select it, it says flights are not available. If you call them they can book them for you though.
