Whats with people that complain at the smallest problems, i'm just reading a couple of hotel reviews, on tripadvisor.com there's a US women rated a hotel 2outof5 - her complaint the alarm clock in her bedroom was not the correct time and it took hotel staff a whole day to 'fix-it' for her....the same with the guy with the anti-bmi website..he was delayed for 1 day thats it!(it annoyed him so much he spent time, money and effort setting up the web site to tell the world how much of a baby he is.

I'm all for complaints were they are due...not for silly things it's not worth the stress.

I am always annoyed with the comments made at airlinequality.com, talk about petty complaints. Someone needs to inform last contributor that he didn't fly in Upper Class on the MAN-MCO route and that he shouldn't compare it against business class never mind the comments he made about him not receiving a First Class service.
I don't mind anyone complaining as long as they can justify their comments.

I have no regard to airlinequality.com

I find they always filter their post and I have e-mailed them 5 times with my trip experience. and guess what none of them got posted there.

That is why I think the Skytrax survey is also rubbish as well (Look at some of the airlines that made it to the top 10

I think it's so sad that people waste their energy by getting het up about petty things. If you turn a mole hill into a mountain it wil have a mountain-sized impact. If you ignore it and just keep on walking, you'll flatten it and it ceases to be a problem.

God that is really interesting about airlinequality.com.

I read it regularly and am shocked at the negative reviews Virgin get, yet everytime I stand at the door for disembarkation all I hear is how wonderful the flight was! Have never been able to work out why there are not more positive reviews.

Maybe they have something against Virgin!

Ah, good ol' airlinequality.com, commonly known as Skytrax - we've discussed that site quite a bit (search the forum for airlinequality.com and it'll give you a good few hits), and I think the general consensus is that they publish negative reports in the majority. Certainly, they did a real good hatchet job of the positive VS report of mine that they managed to publish [V]

Personally, I've not run into anything less than good service on VS :)

Cheers

I have only had one bad flight on VS
and by bad it really wasnt bad at all- just not as good as the usual high VS standard.

I think in terms of reviews or comments - bad press is good press
Its a shame but thats life.

I think feedback is important - both good and bad!

There was one time I wanted to nominate a Hero but the date had closed
I realise we can write letters etc to express feedback both good or bad.

I think its important to contact a company first if you have issues before broadcasting them accross the internet as otherwise they dont have the opputunity to make right on issues you raise.

just my $0.02 (yes im still in the states!)

Best complaint I've ever heard was on a CO LGW-EWR flight about four or five years ago. As we taxied out to the runway pilot annopunces there is a problem with one of the engines and we will return to stand for it to be checked out. We were off loaded and back to the loung for an hour and a half before re-boarding.

Eventually too off a couple of hours late, guy next to me asked to speak to the IFS to complain about the delay and asked for an official complaint form.

What did he want? For the flight deck to ignore a warning light and cross their fingers for the flight! I just don't understand some people.
