My first trip report so be kind![:#] We set of from base at 6.00am to get to Gatwick for 8.00am which we managed as the roads were pretty clear. we strolled up to PE check-in which was very smooth and quick![y] We walked through security and got a good breakfast in Garfunkles and earned airport miles in the shops which you can turn into Virgin Atlantic airmiles! [}:)] finally are flight got called, we were on 027 (11.15). we set up are patch outside gate 32 and waited to be called which we were and made are way on to Ruby Tuesday which has IFE as odyssey. we picked up a newspaper and complimentry champagne and started looking at what movies were on. we had a smooth take off and uneventful journey over the atlantic. The food was good i went for the vegetarian option. i even managed to get about an hours sleep after that![|)][:D] we had a very smooth approach in to MCO and arrived 45 mins before expected, well done Captain![oo][y] After clearing immergration, we got of the plane pretty quickly as we were in PE, we did the whole strange baggage system they had, its really annoying when you put all the bags through together and they get seperated, never sure how that happens[:?] anyway getting through we collected the Dodge Caravan from Dollar and headed for the vistana Resort at about 4.30-5.00pm EST

Hope you enjoyed! MCO-LGW coming soon!

Robert - glad you enjoyed the flight, we were slumming it downstairs - although did come upstairs to use the WCs near the end of the flight. You made good time out of the airport as we waited for our baggage for ages and then queued at Dollar for nearly an hour.

Hope you had a great time.

I also assumed the TR was from 2006 - as Ruby Tuesday did the same flight number exactly one year later.

Guess I wasn't on the same flight after all, thought it was strange that I waited so long for my luggage[n]

Hey there, I stayed in the Vistana Resort first time I went over there for 2 weeks.

Have you been there before, and if so has anything changed there. I went in 1999 and if we are planning to go to Florida again (and fail as usual) Vistana always comes to mind on deciding where to go.

For those who are unfamiliar, Vistana is located near the bottom end of I-Drive in Orlando, FL and is conveniently located close to I-4. IMO its a good base for exploring Orlando and the rest of Florida (well Space Coast and Tampa/Clearwater/St. Petes area at least)

Look forward to reading your return trip TR[y]

This is strange as looking at the LHR-LGW Movements archieve page it shows both your journeys carried out by G-VGAL, and that G-VXLG did the VS001 to EWR on this date, but the config you are stating is the LHR 747 config.

Oh well - guess it will be just one of those weird mysteries[?]
