Arrived at T3 just after 6.00am and dropped the bags off having completed OLCI the day before. Decided to change for exit row for some more leg space fifty pounds for two, so guessing BOGOF as last time it was fifty pounds each.
Cleared security with no problems however the extra checks at the gate do take some time so did not get seated on board until just short of scheduled departure time. Push back from the gate was about 20 minutes delayed due to refuelling time take off was approximately one hour late.
Plane was the A340-300 with the Odyssey IFE seats were 50 A and C standard exit row. Service was standard for Y class they don't seem as bothered as they do with upper class [;)] I think there were only two trolley runs one for breakfast which was the usual and one just before landing with the usual ice cream run so had buzz or go and find them for drinks.
Having landed at JFK late the US Visit was down so there was a bit of hold up. Still I did get VAA a survey to fill in lets see if they take pax comments on board. Personally I have had far better service in Y on other VAA flights.
