Just holding a pair of flights to Barbados at the beginning of November, and the Expedia seat picker is showing a LHR UCS layout. Do we think this is likely & how likely do we think this could be ???

I'm booked on BGI to LHR in UC early Feb'. It is also showing on Virgin's seat plans as UCS. BGI is the first LGW route (or so I am told) to have the UCS on it.

Any idea when LAS will become all suite?

I figure that its probably one of the more popular LGW routes, especially in terms of attracting a few high rollers?

Where does one find the Expedia seat picker - I have looked on Expedia.com and cannot see it?

I've only accessed it when I have purchased tickets, by clicking on "my trips".

This enables you to view seat layout and make changes.

Dont think you can access it without purchasing a ticket though....

Where available you can 'reserve' seats on Expedia (where you have 24hrs to make a decision). Seatpicker will, if available, show on the itinerary page, I 'picked' my seats before paying to make sure it was a UCS served flight.

Expedia will also give you a PNR (as well as an itinerary number) so you can look on http://www.checkmytrip.com to see what, where and when you are flying.

I've also held BA flights on expedia this way, and ba.com will bring up the flights as confirmed bookings if you enter your EC number (which can be scary at times, especially when you're just 'flight surfing')

I was told by FC two week's ago that all LGW flights to the west coast usa will be fitted with UCS starting with LAS first then they will refit aircraft that fly to the east coast.

I guess we will have to wait till closerto the time of the LGW refit Before we know what's going to happen unless we can get some inside info.

Cheers

You're right, the Premier Team at FC told me today that BGI was scheduled to be Suite in November, and that's why the seating plans reflect that.

We all know that fitting these aircraft can take longer than planned, although the craft showing for my flights is a LHR UCS 747... so maybe it's a planned substitution as opposed to a UCS fitted LGW 747.

...so, err... I'll just hold my breath!
