Can any of our experts tell me why this is?
On our LGW-MCO flight UC in 8th Jan 05 VS027, when I call up the seat plan on the VA web site, only rows 8 & 9 are in "red" I understand why 6 is in grey by the way. Both 11 & 12 are greyed out.
However on the MCO-LGW return flight 22nd Jan VS028 UC seat plan, whilst 6 and 11 are stilled greyt#ed out, row 12 is in red!. Surely both 11 & 12 if they are being used for UC should be in red?
You would not put PE in row 11? Why would anyone want to sit in row 11 if rows 8 & ( are (as they are showing) still available?
Any ideas what is going on?

Hi AlanA,

I think that as Row 11 is ther bulkhead seats they might be blocked for allocation at the airport (like row 6) or have already been booked.

On the outbound , it could be that only Row 6-9 are used for upper class whilst 11 & 12 are used for the " UC seats PE service) whilst on the return both UC sections are used for UC service ( seems odd to me too)

Of course I could be 100% wrong:)

On the MCO run only half the UC seats are used for UC for other half are PE and will be PE seating after refit

I know that people with ristricted mobility etc get first priority but otherwise other than asking @check in you wont be able to get them

I online system records them as UC (barbados has UC in both cabins)
This is why you wont have access to them online..

Jonathan,
I am going UC which is why I can see that row 12 is available for booking one way and not the other, whilst rows 8 & 9 are still available both ways.
Why would anyone want to sit in zone B?

Why would anyone want to sit in zone B?

Zone A is full upper class so if they offer an upgrade:D

Zone B is still an UC seat so is bigger has a better recline than a PE one
more legroom etc
the in flight service is better too as often the UC attendants look after you!

I'd book it if you can

Sorry I misunderstood[:I]

I think if you booked in Zone B you'd be reassigned at check in..

No one who paid for UC would want zone B
