When i was in SFO i was told by a chap that they speak english better and know the language better than us.

Work that one out.

There was a programme on the radio with a linguist, stating that the American form of English is based upon the language taken over by the Pilgrims, and that over time our English has been altered whilst theirs has kept to the original, so I think he is technically right.
Though with the influx of other languages and countries into the USA, it is changing now anyway.

I think it is a great idea, but what about a language that is the language of a country that Virgin travels to? That would be very appropriate...

Anyhow, still a great idea.

US visitors to UK might enjoy learning cockney rhyming slang e.g. where is a rub-a-Dub-Dub where I can get elephant's trunk?

Spanish is widely spoken in parts of the US, and VS will be flying to Cuba next year. And I think Spanish is more 'approachable' than Hindi or certainly Cantonese or Japanese
