Apart from the lack of a clubhouse at Manchester, which I will not go into for obvious reasons [:w], I have never been on a flight where we were literally looked after from the minute we stepped on until the minute we departed.
The crew were magnificent, infact the FSM (the one in the black shirt [?]) must have been in the front cabin for 70% of the flight along with at least one if not two members of the crew.
I couldn't begin to count how many times I was asked if 'everything was all right', 'would you like anything to drink?', 'can I get you anything else?'
The food was superb. Maybe they have been listening and have taken the hint that rather than try and provide something with a name that sounds as thought it has taken 20 people to make up, they have stuck with reasonable plain dishes, but dishes which are very, very eatable.
I had the soup, which still amazes me that you can have soup at 36000 feet [;)], the chicken tika, which was pretty damn good - the rice was just right and the chicken perfect, missed out the cheese and then the dessert which was ice cream with a 'giant chocolate button', which was a perfect ending.
Even the amenity kit is getting better, although anything was better than a cardboard envelope.
Now, if only we could get V-Port ...........
Full marks all round. [y][y]
