There isnt a great deal to say about this flight other than I was very impressed but as there arent many VX trip reports I thought I would complete one.

This holiday was my first on the US west coast and I had quite simply a wonderful holiday spending time in LA, Vegas and San Francisco. So I was feeling quite down at the thought of going home but I was rather excited about flying VX on my way home.

We arrived at SFO fairly early and found the whole airport and the VX check in area very quiet. At check in there was a computer problem so we had to wait a couple of minutes for them to reboot the system.

Whilst waiting we got chatting to a member of VX crew who asked us about our journey, where we were going etc. He told us that VX was unlike any other airline and the our flight would exceed any experience with other airlines so this certainly cheered us up and made us look forward to the flight even more.

The flight was called early and we were onboard in our seats quickly. First class was full and the seats looked impressive, however I am not overly sure about the white seats.

As soon as I got into my seat I started playing with the entertainment system and I cannot remember taking off I was so engrossed in what I was doing. The husband found the Liverpool champions league match live on ESPN so he was delighted and in no time we sadly arrived into LAX.

So in brief, the economy seats were very comfortable, the touch screen entertainment system was very impressive and it was great to be able to continue using it until the plane arrived at the gate (Note to VS!!) and lastly the flight only cost $44 each, what a bargain!

I really hope I get an opportunity to fly with them again.

Hi Lesley great to hear VX are doing so well, on the point of the entertainment being usable until the a/c reaches the gate..Im currently on the VAA/DJ exchange in OZ and VBlue allow their guests to watch live2air right up until we arrive at the gate, VB had to get a special dispensation (correct spelling?) from CASA the Australian authorities to do this. I have a feeling that Vport cant be used right up until we reach the gate on Atlantic because the CAA wont allow the headsets still to be worn for landing (on an aircraft governed by them). This is a slight stab in the dark, if anyone would like to correct me with the exact reason I would appreciate it! Cheers...oh and well done VX....another fantastic Virgin Airline by the sounds of it!!

Why you'd ruin a perfectly good flight watching bloody, thieving Liv... Huh? What's that? Barry wants me to stay on topic? OK, I will... [:#]

THANK YOU for the TR! I am hoping that Preiffer publishes one soon. Maybe we need to sponsor a contest for best Virgin America TR over the next two months or something to drive content here?

Thanks again...
