Hi new to the board! Loving everyones work! I have flown with Virgin now in excess of 30 times over the past 5 years so i think this group is ideal!

Well were do i start! This was probably the worst flight to date! We hit extreame turbulance during the early stages of the flight and in some cases it was very horrific! First time i have seen a trolley cart being lifted and flung across the cabin!! I would be interested to hear from anyone else who was on this flight as we were all terrified! I personally think it was totally unsafe to fly given the conditions.

We had no IFE for the full duration of the flight, limited food service because of the terrible turbulance! Hope my next flight will be more positive.

Not a bad start, but it would be nice to get more detail please, Alex. [:D]

You have given IFE 0% and marked the seats and food and drink right down. It would be nice to know why, and what was done about it - if anything.

Whilst the crew can't do anything about turbulence, details of why they were only average will help people who are flying in the future.

Welcome to the site, Alex. You may want to see other trip reports as a guide for the level of detail that your fellow members so relish...your version is a bit spare, with all respect. For instance, when the trolley flew across the cabin, in which direction did it travel? Did items fall from it?

I am particularly interested in the 'crew' rating you gave as the subject of crew performance has occupied no small amount of bandwidth here.

Also, were you satisfied with the amenity kit?

Umm... Turbulence mid-flight, what an absolutely AWFUL airline [?]

Sorry, can't possibly understand why you feel the airline or crew are directly to blame for unexpected turbulence, which CAN and WILL occur at any point inflight. [n]

I was on the inbound flight, the turbulence was OK on the way in, it was a little windy. There was little IFE on the way in, they were announcing the failure at the gate at Gatwick.

The crew were good on the way out, the flight was jammed with 544 people.

I know that Virgin would not do anything to compromise safety, I know I am well cared for when I fly Virgin.
