After a great holiday in New York we eventually had to come home. From JFK to LHR. Once out of the taxi we went to the VS check in were all the check in desks were open and it took no more than 10 mins to check in, in economy. We had 56 H,J,K so I asked the check in agent if he could put us in a bulkhead which he did not, I did not notice my 9 year old daughter having a conversation with the check in agent next to us and because she liked my daughter she told him to give us a bulkhead seat (maybe if we checked in with her we could have got a upgrade). which was the middle of row 40 which was great.
We headed for the terminal 4 duty free which to put it lightly is crap. The electronics store sold the nanos for 275$ when in the real apple store that version is 149$ mad! so I obvoiusly did not buy anything there. After a sandwhich from Au Bon Pain we headed to security which took less than a quauter of the time UK security doesand off to the gate were we boarded immeditetly, great! Within 15mins we pushed back and 45mins later (a long wait) we were up in the air. A slightly longer wait for the seatbelt signs to switch off but fine as i did not need the toilet. After which I watched some good old top gear!
Soon enough the food came round I can only remember the one i had whioch was Chicken and Rice which was very nice with an 0reo cheesecake. The V:Port worked great and everything was working execpt the i:map which was not a bother since it was such a short flight. It was the V:Port Kash seats, they were very comfortable. Once entering England the seatbelt signs were turned on and we quickly decended to LHR. Once landed we quickly made it to the stand and were off in no time. Once through passport control at baggage reclaim we got our bags within 5mins. After than the 30min drive home back to normality.
Overall: Best thing was the cabin crew who were all so nice today and Virgin Atlantic Economy is definately leading as the best.

45 Minutes is pretty good for the VS46. It's normally around an hour, I've waited an hour and a quarter before now.

You were probably quite lucky with security too.

Thanks for the TR.

New York is always a busy route- would imagine a lot of people had gone out at the weekend and come back mid week. Plus there would of been a lot of business pax as well.
