I am booked to fly with Nationwide airlines on the 11th December flying from Cape Town to Nelsperit/Kruger. The airline is grouded until futher notice due to losing its license.

I need to find a way to get from Cape Town to Nelsperit/Kruger. SAA
want 380 for the same route.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

This link might help but the number of airlines flying into Nelspruit is limited. You might have to fly to Joburg and from there drive to Nelspruit/Kruger, which IIRC is approximately a 4-5 hour drive

Thanks for the help. Like you said, if i cannnot fly into Nelsperit
i will have to try and get a flight to JNB then speak to car rental company to pick the car up at JNB and drive there. Hopefully they will sort it all out by then.

I'd fly to JNB and drive which, as HL says, is approx 5 hours. Alternatively, you could drive all the way, although that would need to be done over two days so probably isn't the best option with limited time.

Instead of flying into Nelspruit from JNB you could try Phalaborwa which is on the other side of the park I think.

We once drove from Pretoria to Cape Town and back. I wouldn't recommend it. The journey is quite boring especially going through the Karoo

Admittedly I wouldn't do a return drive CPT to JNB/Nelspruit, but I wouldn't say the route is boring - vineyards, ostrich farms in Oudtshoorn, Swartberg Pass (reputedly the most beautiful stretch of road in SA), Karoo National Park and many small towns such as Graaf Reinet.

Hi

Thank you all for your help.
Now booked new return ticket with Kulula airlines from CPT-JNB
and a single from JNB-HDS

The owners are picking me up from HDS and returning me to JNB which
is nice of them.

Now just need to try and get money back off car rental Co and Nationwide.....
