Flying to Babados next April with BA Club and have decided to stay at the above hotel as its connected to the North Terminal and makes it very handy for checking in the following morning. Has anybody and vies on this hotel recently as I can only find bits and pieces from some time ago ( I really hope its better than the Hilton)

not stayed there but went in to visit the delta arrivals lounge once... It seemed much nicer than the Hilton.

Have stayed there several times, & also used the restaurant when I'd been booked into That Other Hotel at the South Terminal.

Found the general facilities to be pretty much as expected. Rooms, both private & public, were clean & reasonably up to date with decor.

Food was good, if pricey ( but no more so than at any airport!). Highly recommend using the Cafe Bar rather than the full restaurant.

The staff were what lifted the experience. To the extent that we're going to be using thr Sofitel in New York, just because of our Gatwick experiences.

Worth signing up online for their loyalty card.... I may never stay enough to reclaim points, but being a card holder gives speedier check-in & free vouchers for a drink each ( so £10-00 for two drinks, just for registering ! )

I have stayed at both, althought more often at the Hilton (mainly as I am a Diamond HHonors member). My opininon is therefore going to be a bit biased, since I have no idea what a standard room at the Hilton is like. However the rooms in the new Exec / Deluxe room are nice and very modern, and the lounge is good for a few evening drinks. The couple of times I have stayed at the Sofitel, it has been fine - the only thing I would say is the rooms are slightly odd shaped, but otherwise the hotel is nice and you maybe lucky to get an airport view. In terms of meals....there are plenty of decent options in the airport terminals, that are probably better value than either of the hotels!

I would highly reconmend this place It's rn by the same company that run the arora in Crawley .

The location is great and the executive floor room is especially worth the extra. Tea and coffee avail all day, great snacks in the evening, waitress service with all drinks included and the best view of the airport while having a beer. The breakfast is also fantastic in the lounge with a number of hot items available

The rooms, some off shape are great as they have a really large ledge which is you have an airport view makes a great seat to sit and look at the airport.
