As you arrive at T1, right down the bottom in the left hand corner as you drive to the furthest drop of point there is a parking company called CPS (Red and White signage at their reception building). Has anyone used them?

I need the quickest possible option for getting to T1 after parking my car for a work trip in a few weeks so thought i'd give these guys a try as i dont want to have to wait for a bus. I'm curious as to whether i need to actually pre-book my parking or whether i can just turn up on the day? (I'll be arriving about 6am latest).

Any insights greatfully received. I believe the company may have changed their name to Meteor, but were still CPS last time i was at T1.

Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah, not used them myself but I think they okay but do bear in mind that they do drive your car to a remote site and it has been reported that lots of miles have gone on and even a speeding ticket or two IIRC it was even on TV . some friends use Park One on the northern perimeter road and they get you down to T1 in 3 mins and you are normally picked up in seconds by their Minibus and I think it's £28 per day

I've used BA express parking at T1, who are just adjacent to CPS. You don't have to fly BA, you do get BA miles, and, apart from adjusting my driver's seat (GRRRRRR) haven't done anything bad to the car.

My current favourite for longer term parking is Q-Park. Not very far along the Bath road, they more or less take you straight to the terminal after booking you in, a tenner a day if you just pitch up, cheaper if you pre book.

BA Express Parking? Oooh will check their rates. Do you know if you have to pre-book with them or can you just turn up?

I've used Q-Park a few times before and I've found it can be about 10-15 minutes or so till i get to the Terminal after dropping the car off. I'm doing something crazy and attempting to get to LHR at 6am for a 7am flight [:w]

John, thanks for the insight. I'm not fussed about the car going offsite, i just want to get into the Terminal as quickly as possible.

Thanks,
Sarah

I could be wrong here but I do believe that the CPS Parking outfit is the massive car park that you see alongside the mainline into/out of Paddington. I want to say it is just after Ealing station but cant remember for the life of me. Not sure I would want someone driving my car all that way.

I've used Purple Parking (my company's preferred parking service) at Heathrow a couple of times at Heathrow and at Stansted every week for the past 12 weeks and have had no problems with them. You can get a quote and book online at http://www.purpleparking.com.

I've used CPS at MAN & BHX many times in the past and have never had any problems at all. Car has always come back in good clean condition, promptly delivered & no speeding fines on the doormat a week or two later.

Their website is http://www.parkwithcps.co.uk/ & the homepage also says Meteor on it, so it's the same company.

Q-Park and Pink Elephant both do meet and greet from T3 (all Terminals i think actually) and store your car offsite.

To answer my own original thread, i used CPS/Meteor and had absolutely no issues at all with them. It was certainly a nice and easy way of dealing with parking [:)]

Thanks,
Sarah

Not quite, I haven't given them a royal warrant yet [:D]
