we are looking to book two flights to new york with using flying club miles to upgrade, problem lies where i have 28k miles & my g/f has only 19,512 miles, just short of the 20k needed.

will flying club let me use the rest of the miles from my account?

will flying club let her go temporarily overdrawn (as the miles for the new york trip will bring it in credit again)?

any ideas if the sydney flights will be 20,000 miles for PE upgrade?

thanks

You could try asking VS about either of those two options (theworst that can happen is that they say 'no'). A purchase from Virgin Wines would get you a prteey instant 1,000 miless (or 750 if you've ordered from them before)which would get your gf to the rewuired total.

If I rememebr rightly from previous poists on here, Sydney is being treated as two sectors, so EC to PE upgrade will be 40k.

I can only comment on my experiance, which was yes, they let me go overdrawn at the FC "bank" for my miles required. If you ring them and explain about the NY trip, I am sure they will be as equally accommodating :)

Same here, the very nice man let me go a few thousand overdrawn, on the premise that as I was going to MCO in UCS for Christmas/New Year, it would earn me enough miles to launch me back into credit, though I do hear it's who you end up speaking to and how you get on with them.

Hopefully you'll be OK.

My Biggest overdraft in FC was -18K!![8D] still I did book a UC and PE flight when I booked the reward flights..
Generally FC are very good if they see you'll easilly make the balance back!
