The new headphones will direct the sound into your ears and not past them!!!

Hi,

That's amazing!!:D

Thanks for that declansmith.

They will no doubt be better than the BA NCW headsets ( too big for my head and poor sound quality ( ignoring the fact that they are not noise cancelling)

Regards

Are they going to have a proper head strap, or will they still clip on your ears ?

I always tend to take my own earphones with me anyway, although aircraft ones (that you can legally take away) come in great for the gym.

My gym is just about to have this. Honestly.

(LCD displays are already on the machines and we are getting DVD/CD players in the next week... kind of a V.Port upgrade but not as expensive :)).

Never managed a movie :D, but mine does have TV screen and radio and music channels, so you can plug your headphones in and listen to high-energy dance music / The Archers / Midsomer Murders or whatever takes your fancy. What I'd really like is the ability to watch TV whilst swimming - I get so bored.

Nice headsets.

Same as the old 'over the head style'

Very good sound quality with large ear pads.

But the crew will give them out and collect them in.

Now then VS did have the old ovr the head style headphones in a simular style to the clip on ear type, ie see thru with vs logo on ear piece. On the top they had 'give it up for the crew' written on them. If memory serves me correct the crew also were supposed to collect these in but i sneaked a pair off---i believe they were used around 2000 and then they brought in the silly over the ear things! Are these coming back tomororw?

I've always had my haedphones collected after the flight, whether "clip on" or with a full "head strap".

Glad they are bringing back the full head strap, I prefer these - much better :)

And to pay for this enhancement, they have had to reduce the seat pitch to 29" to get more seats in :D

They sound like the ones that are given out to 1st class PAX on Virgin trains? These are reasonably OK - it's just a pity the radio itself is so flaky.
