There's an A.net post here with a link to a video showing the interior cabins. (You will need something like VLC player to view the flash video file though)

It's been commented on that the J cabin does look faily cramped which I kinda' agree with. Y looks pretty standard (although I'm not sure about the seat colours). Those F suites do look good though [y]

If anyones interested it's about ~£600 return in Y SIN>SYD>SIN and if you book via the SIA website it will tell you which flights the A380 is operating.

I did think about doing this whilst I am in SIN but it's a bit much to pay just to be able to say I've flown an A380 [:I]

Your still tempted though James aren't you.

Still can't find any seat maps anywhere yet. But from the vid the config is:

Y: 3 - 4 - 3
J: 1 - 2 - 1
F: 1 - 2 - 1

Business does look very square and quite claustrophobic cabin but with help yourself bar / snack area. But First, or rather Suites - WOW!! Following the Demi-Cabin feel of Emirates but with real double beds - side by side for couples travelling together! Also by the looks of it First is downstairs.

Quite amazing.

{Edit: To correct Y seat config}

The seat pitch in Y looks fairly generous on the video.
I'll aggree with the comments on J, the isles look REALLY narrow (might just be the perspective, maybe) and when the seat is in bed mode it looks like it would be a tight fit under the seat in front.

First looks like a good layout, although it took a couple of watches (and drooling) to see that that wasn't a big mirror in the middle suites, but the other suite next door for a private love cabin!

Only thing, I think the 'finish' of the suites doesn't look that expensive. I always want to see more endangered species of wood in F cabins....

Cheers!

Dean

p.s oh go on James, you know you want to.... [:D]

Also just to add to Mat's config info there's a seat map here

To get the cheaptest ~£600 fare I would need a Sat night in SYD which wont work for me anyway as I have another flight booked for the Sat.

The picture in the section 'boeing problems' looks like the seats are in a hair dressers salon.

SQ micro site now available showing animations of all 3 A380 cabins here. Still not sure about J though and no mention of what the actual Y seat pitch will be.

Just noticed that SIA took delivery of it's second A380 last week (12th) - see here.

Also read elsewhere that when the third is delivered towards the end of February a daily service to LHR will begin.

Ive been keeping back miles in my BMI Diamond Club account and now have enough for 2 returns to Australia in F with SIA, what do you reckon my chances are of getting 2 miles seats on the 380 on the SIN-SYD leg ... zero me thinks [:)]

Indeed. I read somewhere that F Suites (for now) are exempt from mileage redemptions. I am sure Richard can find where we saw that.

Edit: It says here that 'Only unrestricted awards are available for redemption of flights in Business Class on the A380. No redemption is available for the Singapore Airlines Suites' but that is for the KrisFlyer program, so I'd assume that you couldnt redeem through *A either.

Thanks,
Sarah

I've just booked two returns LHR-SYD using BMI miles - I had 400,000 -enough for two F returns! Not only are the A380 flights showing no availability for Reward seats at any time, there's only one First class seat bookable with miles on any given flight. So, no chance at all for your plan to work! I ended up having to book one First and one Business for myself and wife, but hopefully we can take it in turns in the F cabin on each of the four legs. If you don't already know about it, use http://www.seatcounter.com to find available seats before phoning Diamond Club with your flight choices - it really saves a lot of time and hassle!

Interesting - so the first flight will take the afternoon arrival slot and thereafter revert to the early morning arrival - sounds like a useful bit of publicity.

Expedia still has seats available for normal price - still listed as 747-400. Passengers on the inaugral flights get certificates - ooohhhh - [y]

yes, I have a feeling you might have to be quick - I read somewhere that SIA were pleased at how PAX were willing to pay quite a percentage more for A380 tickets.
