At the moment Claire, yes. It's only to get your details on the list of claimants. It will be several weeks before the exact details are know, providing the judge signs off on them.

Thanks Darren.

Did I see there's somewhere you can go to find out precisely when and where you flew???

My understanding of this is to also include flights/packages etc booked during that time frame not just actual flights taken.

I've got 8 actual VS flights in that period I flew on but also 6 (if I can get away with including a return DXB flight) which I'd booked and paid for but didnt fly on until after 23rd March 2006.

The flip side of this though is if you booked/paid for flights before 11th Aug 2004 but flew in the specified time frame, these wont count I dont think [:?]

The thing to look for (if you still have your e-tickets, which thankfully I still do have all mine) is the issue date.

I flew to JFK on Sept 24th 2004, but because I'd booked and paid for this flight on 4th May 2004, I dont think this flight will count [:?]

I could be completely off the mark here though and until we get more details on how to make a claim we will just have to wait and see.

I worked it out that I have taken 4 return flights during that period but then I suddenly remembered that Aer John accompanied me on 3 of them. I'm now wondering should I register him or wait and see since I was the one who divvied up for the flights.

I just checked about a flight I took in April 2006. I don't have my eticket with the issue date but according to the Itineraries forum here I posted about it in August 2005. Wonder will that qualify?

I've had to sign up for both the US and UK ones since I was living in the UK until September '05. Had flights from the US and from the UK. A slight PITA but what the hell. I'll see what happens.

I was just going to ask if anyone had signed up for both. We were living in the US most of that time, but had flights purchased in both countries. I guess I will sign up for both, too.

Wonder how we would go about claiming.

Usually I do the booking and the paying but list the lead passenger as 'him indoors' and end up having to get him to give permission for Virgin to speak to me about any changes etc.

Virgin obviously think it's his booking even though I paid so who gets the refund I wonder[:?]

Who needs to register for the flights my children took, and I paid for the flights ?

I think you just register that you wish to make a claim. The details will be sent at a later date where there wil hopefully be a FAQ

Have there been any further developments regarding this, as I've heard nothing since registering my claim?

I know this discussion is as old as the hills now, but I'm still having trouble convincing the powers that be that I qualify for a refund.

I have my flight numbers, I paid for them on the 20/03/06 so that just falls into the criteria for refunds.

The flights were Virgin long haul from the UK, I have the stamps in my passport to prove I took the flights and they are on my Flying Club account with earned miles. I have given them my Flying Club number and flight numbers and the Flying Club number for him indoors too.

What more can these people possibly want? ?|
