So when does EOS merge/acquire the assets of SilverJet? [i] L'Avion?

Very interesting. I have been long saying that Eos will eventually take over Silverjet unless one of the legacy's gets to them before hand.

With all the hype that Silverjet weren't doing to well surely this hints that maybe they are. Eos has long been regarded as the market leader in this sector and yet Silverjet had the foresight to get into DXB first. Ok the level of service is different on both carriers but with Eos now following Silverjets lead surely they are doing something right.

If Silverjet's lawyers had any sense the contract signed for the use of the private terminal at DXB will be for the exclusive use of Silverjet, meaning EOS will be remote standing with VS!

Thinking about it ground arrangements at DXB could be key for Eos really. If Eos cannot get gate space (or use of the private terminal) then there will be a lot of unhappy premium passengers who have to get to the terminal by bus! Cars could be used but I believe 48 cars would be a bit OTT.

It will be interesting to see how VS and BA respond to this. I know we have seen a lot of UC sales lately but I am stil lof the impression that BA/VS/EK/AA believe that corporate accounts and them using LHR is a winning factor.

Will,
I've been to DXB twice in the last few months and Silverjet are also using a remote stand like VS. Their metal is usually parked 3 up the line from VS next to LH.

Silverjets passengers might be using the private terminal, but they're still be bused out to the aircraft. [:)]

Good points and very true - when the extended terminal opens things might change but of eight flights I've had that have arrived at or departed DXB on EK so far this year, only two had gates. So unless EK or anyone else begins to make life easier, I'm beginning to think about avoiding DXB altogether, depsite LHR/LGA and the favourable prices.

While on the subject of EK, it's becoming terrible, delayed departures at DXB, bags lost, poor crew, declining food, variable cabins ... in the space of 18 months my experience has gone for 8/10 to 5/10 ...

...sounds a lot like another airline that we have a love/hate affair with? [;)]
