News coming in....

Apparently a man has climbed the perimeter fence and ran into the path of an aircraft.

Details still sketchy but the airport appears to have ceased all operations for the moment.

What a clown. Bet it's either a green protest or something similar to the idiot who disrupted the British Grand Prix by running on the track a few years ago.

I want to say, but can't quite ... 'Should have been ... '

I like the comment on the beeb - that people have climbed the perimeter fence before and they're usually mad, drunk or a protester ... maybe all!

So if my LHR geography is correct her jumped the fence roughly opposite the Renaissance and Marriott hotels.

What an idiot. Surely he must have had some kind of cutters to get round the wire on the top of those fences, either that or a bloody long ladder [:o)]

GP and Plane Stupid are saying it was not them.

You watch all the aviation bashers now start claiming that BAA aren't doing a good enough job protecting our airports.

One day, someone will get through the fence, not do what they are told and 2x 9mm will hurt!
