I have just been sent this link / discount code for the Hooters Casino by Kayak.com

I have never stayed there (honest [;)] ), and don't even remember seeing it, so I have no idea what it is like - though I can guess if the rooms are $29 [:I] but it is just off the Strip on Tropicana Ave, so location is spot on.

The offer apparently includes show tickets and $200 slot play.

Book by 15th May 08.

Hooters is the old San Remo casino, as Nick says just down from Tropicana.

Looks interesting.... Nope, the wife wants to stay at the Venetian (can't think why [ii])

I have stayed there several times [:I]

The rooms are great for the price, nothing spectacular, but were clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. The housekeeping staff were very friendly.

Its just off the strip, so about a 5 min walk to the MGM/Tropicana/Excalibur/NYNY crossroads. Plenty of self parking, and as its small you don't have to spend ages walking from the parking lot to your room.

Got a few pictures.

Also they have a Marino's restaurant there, which is not bad at all.

As others have said, this used to be the San Remo, the original owners sold a 50% share to the Hooters chain which then re branded it as Hooters.

What should of been a slam dunk has turned into a minor cluster f**k, the place has been sold again to a company out of LA [?] who will be remodeling it again into an upscale hotel.
