With more to come..the combination of rising fuel prices and a world wide economy is going to decimate the worlds airline population..my thought is the next big one to go is Mesa, which will bring big headaches to US and UA.

I had actually thought that Nationwide had gone as there was some problem when I was booking internal flights for my recent South Africa trip

Interesting to note Nationwide flew me from Livinignstone to Jo Burgh last Weds after Comair booked Club flight went tits up ! All thr rumours in Jo Burg where that VS were in deep do do

I think the figure now stands at 10 in the last 6 weeks which is rather shocking.

Sad to see Nationwide go, they seemed to operate a good service in SA but for some reason their long haul routes to LGW just never worked.

So bets on who is next? Wouldn't be surprised if we see a rather large European carrier go next.
