Sounds like I am the only one to benefit from the shambles so far. I needed an extra 5,000 miles for a reward booking last week, I was going to purchase them but had them for free thanks to MBNA!

However my account is now showing -10,000 miles!

BREAKING NEWS

M.B.N.A ask virgin atlantic to rename their frequent flyer program to reflect the service input from M.B.N.A in the management of the virgin atlantic american express Card.

The New F/F program is to be called.

THE HOKEY COKEY CLUB.

They put your milage in
they take your milage out
in out in out
whats it all about?

they do the hokey cokey and they mess it up
that what it's all about.I just wish I could add the music to this post.

Well done M.B.N.A I now have even less miles than I started with in March!

Bit of a null response from Virgin

Dear Dave

Thank you for your email.

Due to a systems error, the reporting of Virgin Atlantic American Express credit card miles being has been affected. The problem has been identified and is in the process of being corrected. We expect to have the correct mileage in all accounts shortly.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

Thank you for contacting Flying Club.

Kind Regards

Standard 'go away' response from CS (just surprised they didn't give you some miles for irony!)

I also got a very arrogant go away and stop bothering me response from MBNA customer satisfaction department about this too as I wrote to them asking to justify thier £115 annual fee which they have just charged me for this crap.

Would it not be possible to send a group e mail from all v flyers who consented to both the Flying Club (Hokey Cokey Club)and M.B.N.A C/S/D outlining concerns over the inadequate service provided and also seeking justification of the fees charged?

Cheers

Contacting MNBA is a complete waste of time as they just hide behind the FOS (Financial Ombudsman Service)

All they will do is say 'Yeah thanks for bringing this to our attention, but we really dont give a crap, this complaint is now closed as far as we're concerned, so if you want to take this further contact the FSO'

which is basically what they said to me.

My answer - VS need to ditch MBNA sooner rather than later.

To add insult to injury I got a letter this morning saying that the monthly interest rate is going up to 1.6674% (21.9 pa)[n]. Glad I pay my account each month.
Prehaps they need the extra money for their IT department [:w]

There's still a problem of some kind: I have two cards, and whilst the miles for one are now correct, the miles for the other are missing completely.

Once again I appear to be back to the correct balance

Now I may be wrong on this but I was led to believe that FC dip into MBNA systems and award the points directly. Off course MBNA could have shown FC the wrong balance information but given that our CC statements are correct I'm laying the blame for this on FC and not MBNA (unless I'm corrected).

Mine all seem to be back to normal as well, I just check my statements and everything seems to match.
I made 3 Virgin Wines orders when the bonus miles promotion was running and I got 1 lot of 3,000 miles after a lot of complaining but I there should still be 2 x 3,000 bonus miles to come as well as the 3 x 750 miles for normal orders. The 3,000 miles per order were bonus miles after all, on top of the normal amount! Am I wrong?

OT

I thought the 3000 miles was just for the 'first' order you make with V Wines, then it is 750 for each subsequent order.

My April miles have landed with the wrong amount! They've given me about 8k instead of the 1100 or so I was due - and I've no idea where they've got the 8k from![V]

Yup they have AGAIN added the new miles to the miles from the previous month, so I have been credited with March miles again as well as my correct April ones [ii]
