For Bobingalong

Note from your posting re. Zone B downstairs PE on LGW Suite. Have booked upstairs as I know this area well. Row 82 downstairs has full availability, would you recommend these seats instead? Are these the new PE seats and assume would have to use Y cloakrooms behind - thought this may be the downside?

Why can't I find the pics anywhere[V][:I]

I've checked under the pics/cabins....and then all the others, but can't see them anywhere?

The photos have been taken down at the request of VAA.

To elaborate a little on pix's post, we thought is best to request guidance from VAA given the 'sensitive' nature of the subject matter, VAA response was that they would prefer published pictures to show the subject matter in the best possible perspective which these, they considered, did not. We therefore felt it was better to remove them from the site.

We hope all members will understand and thank Bobingalong for his efforts. Any future 'suspect' photos will be referred to VAA before any approval is given for them to appear on the site.

Obviously 7A & 8A are popular seats! I'm off to MCO on the very same seats 16 December - 7 weeks and 5 days, and counting......

Has she flew post refit yet?

Hi Jonathan

She flewd to MCO yesterday (Sun 24th) on VS27/28. Looking at the next couple of weeks, VROS is mainly planned for VS27/28 with the odd VS15/16 and VS43/44 thrown in.

G-VGAL is the next a/c to be re-fitted and she's off to DUB on 31st.

Cheers

Hi Alan,

Yep she was looking splendid as well. Where there 2 flights to MCO yesterday as I could swear Jersey Girl, V-GAL, was off too MCO as well albeit she was delayed a little[?] See my TR for query.

Also answers my query why pre flight boarding only mentioned UC rows 6 to 9

Hi Iain

Yes VGAL was on the VS15 and departed about an hour late (due tech problem the previous day). FYI there are 2 LGW-MCO flts every day apart from Tue at the moment when VS27/28 doesn't operate.

Cheers

Hi all,

So I see the refit pics have been taken down. Fair enough. So who is going to be first to fly on the aircraft post refit and gets some pics that can be posted. I do also hope that Bobingalong will not be reprimanded for these pics being posted by his employers.

Jason

Due to fly LGW/ANU on 4th December. VA seat plan shows no suites but flight availability site and expedia does. Will be interesting to see if it's suites or not. Unfortunately we're flying PE not UC but will try and take a sneak look if the suites are there and report back.

To add to my last I found a quote by bobingalong:

Nova currently has 7 movie channels, 1 TV channel and 14 audio, this will increase to 11 movie (including 2 dedicated kids movies) and 6 TV channels. Audio remains the same, at 14.

Sorry no games. We are however looking to return our onboard competitions once again aimed at both adults and children.

This is a SOFTWARE upgrade and not a Hardware upgrade.

How reliable are the older systems? Once when we flew out of SFO in PE, (4 of us), only one seat back TV was working.

NOVA is not an old system. It was installed on the LGW fleet proir to delivery in 2001.

All IFE's have their bad days, and VPORT is not innocent of this unreliability because it is fairly new technology.

As far as im aware, NOVA is very reliable and doesnt cause too many problems.
