As you're no doubt aware Nick, A.net has gone haywire! This seems to mark the end of AA as a premium carrier, now just equivalent to a LCC - boy I can imagine the rows, the carry ons stuffed everywhere, the misery ... it will be a very good reason to avoid AA within the US - but then no doubt all the others will follow. For me it makes doing business there - unless point to point, less desirable.
Mind you - they've a way to go to catch up with EasyJet and RyanAir ... charges to board earlier than others anyone?
The second part of their news is the grounding of up to 100 planes - this will mean route reductions and considerable numbers of staff redundancies ...
