Seriously, I think the suggestion is a good one. Ensuring that meal times are changed to match the local clock time does seem to help. As to the suggestion of starvation - I'm permanently hungry anyway!
When I go to Australia I start changing my diet and meal times a couple of days before I leave. If I'm off to the States it's just a question of eating local time on the plane. It doesn't get rid of the jet lag completely but it certainly helps.
A purple boarding card, pre-booked cowshed treatment, glass of T10 with lime, a proper amenity kit, packet of polos and a Freedom Menu please!

I also find that the tip of resetting your watch to local time at destination as soon as you take off is a good one ... these little things seem to set an expectation in the body and make things easier.
