I still have a collection to go with my collection of "useful" UC kit cases that sit in the wardrobe doing nothing.

LOL! My GF is on a mission ATM to get me to clear out a cupboard with my prized collection of 100+ amenity kits I've been collecting over the years. She just doesn't understand that one day these pristine, unopened and sealed AKs might be worth something (or not), and are part of aviation history (or not). By means of negotiation when it gets hot I let her have the odd Virgin Vie box VS have been issueing for the past couple of years or so, but it feels like loosing an arm ;-)

Oh did I mention my cupboard full of hotel shower caps too? ;-)

Cheers, Howard

Hi all,

So can anyone in the know clarify what the new Amenity kits will contain ???

cheers Jason

No clue but this from the VS Website re: Carlos 7.

"The Reel Thing

Ozwald Boateng, who dressed the stars of the new Alfie remake, starring Jude Law, (and designed the new Upper Class Amenity Kit) (italics mine) talks about menswear and movies."

You could have someone's eye out with those :)

A biro is a biro is a biro.... we want UC Fountain Pens :D I remember having branded fountain pens as a giveaway at one show and people were blown away by the "curiousity value" - especially in the US. Trouble is I've lost 2 Mont Blancs and can't bring myself to buy another so we use disposable fountain pens internally...

Can't you just make use of the ones in The Clubhouse / Revivals?

I love a nice pen, but I always find that my fave types are the Bic Crystal ones. Which is quite good because I always loose pens so cheap is good. Like sunglasses for me, I know I will sit on them or loose them so refuse to buy a lovely pair of Oakleys which I would love.

Foz :o)

The problem with the metal tail pens were that they got picked up when going through security. One time going through Orlando, where you have to go through security on arrival into the country, I had a was a long disscussion with security staff who wanted to take it away, as the pen was a danagerous weapon, with the sharp tail end!

I've taken those pens though MCO without issue still I Guess it depends on the when and the who when it comes to how anal they are!

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the new amenity kits are being used on the LGW flights now ??? Or are they using the old ones up first. Or will they only get the new kits once they have been refitted ??

The new kit is amazing and will keep you all smiling.

UCS aircraft get the new kit first then rolled out across the fleet.

It launches in two days and is great!

My but you're visually oriented Jason ;). Any photos available NOW before release of the product would be (c) VS or in breach of employer confidentiality so wouldn't be posted here either way...

I'm in UC on the VS19 on the 30th, and so should have the new kit. I'll try and get a pic for the site.

Cheers,
Mike
