Thanks HL
Understandable given the current climate[:#] Interesting how United's announcement is clear as to when this will be implemented whereas US Airways will have a raft of pax contacting them seeking clarification.
If fuel prices continue upward, it is only a matter of time for the measures to catch on elsewhere.....
buns
Glad I booked my flight in December.
The true test will be when (or if) oil prices drop. Will the charges be removed?

MMM I could argue that one, but then again AA left the first bag free for so many people FF's etc that the charge should not really apply unless you are flying on the cheapest Y ticket.
Now what I am surprised at is how long it took US and UA to implement this. These used to be two of my favorite airlines, but they have really turned to s**t in the last few years (last year for US) sad [:#]
Also just to get something off my chest....
US air can suck my d**k....I am done with them.
I have a lifetime chairmans status with them.
However they have gone from a fairly decent short - mid haul option to an airline I will not step foot on. In the last 24 months I have taken something like 30 flights with them, all in the front cabin.
In most cases due to my status I am immune to the changes that are going on over in Tempe, but they really seem to have lost touch with the flying public.
One thing that does hit me...no more mileage bonus due to status...let's see...who will be first in chapter 7, US or UA ?
$7 for a beer on a plane....$2 for a coke.... of course no food even in first.... For the love of god VX, give me LAS - MIA...please.

Sorry to say but Doug Parker and Scott Kirby are idiots, go take a look at A'Net and flyertalk, in one quick move they have managed to alienate thier most prized assets their high mileage FF's, stupid does not even begin to cover it. DL, CO and AA must be laughing this morning, hell I may even see if CO will give me a status match.
The sad thing is they are pretty much giving all routes west of the Mississippi to WN and hell you may as well do the trans con's as well, same price, better service.
LAS took it in the butt, we have now lost 60 flights a day from last year, I had high hopes for US at the start of the merger, but they have lost their way, the only thing I am happy about is the fact that friends I had there got out when they did.
