Amex Plat and VS PE fares

Has anyone checked out booking PE with Amex as they advertise special fares now that they are 'part of the International Airline Programme'

They advertise August fares from 518 which could be a bargain if there's no sale on. Any idea what class they are booked as?

It was in my Platinum Life email I got this morning. It's on page 10, you can download it from the Amex website when you log in here

I phoned Amex to get a price for a flight to Boston in November. Came out about £10 cheaper than VS. Not really a bargain is it. [?]

When has booking anything through AmEx been a bargain!! I am surprised they were actually cheaper than the VS site tbh.

The fare quoted in the Plat Life was on restricted dates and I am sure specific flight numbers too.
