Hi,

Benefits: Smaller cabin ( only row 7/8),close to the usual boarding door ( 2L ) so should be first off the aircraft. Also on the other side of the aircraft from the toilet ( ahead of row 7HK)

Downside: May be noiser due to being close to the galley( more light from the galley?) and closer to the wing/engines. Also closer to PE & Y.

Regards

Could be in the Snooze Zone depending on your departure. But I always choose 7A or K on an A343 as it feels a bit more private...

I'd agree - if you're on a night flight, then row 7 is about as good as it gets in the snooze zone on a 343. A little extra leg room, but a pop up screen (rather than set into the back of the seat in front) good and bad there as it is smaller, but closer and can be angled to avoid reflections. The galley is only busy at one end of the flight or another; I have never found that to be too much of a disturbance. You could do far worse - being near the bar isn't too much fun if there are drinkers on board.

TBS is probably right about engine noise, and now I think about it, I noticed the av fuel smell when on the ground last time I was in one of the centre seats in row 8 - couldn't say if it was worse anywhere else as I've not thought about it before.

7k is my favorite seat on 300's. The two rows of UC behind the galley are generally very quiet, sort a mini-cabin and away from the bar. Even being on the same side as the toilet is OK given that it's only UC passengers using it. You get a bit of noise for first hour from FA's telling PE not to use it. I also like being able to stick my feet up against the bulkhead.

I've never been able to pre-book these as their bulkheads so tend to book 8k and then get to airport at a reasonalbe time and request them. Only time I've not got it was when Kelly Brook was sitting there.

Good luck and enojoy.

This is bit of an old thread but I was wondering what 1A & C are like on a 343?

I don't mind the TV being slightly smaller and like the idea slightly more leg room/no one sitting in front of me...

Any views?

Also, how can I find out what seats are covered by the snooze zone??

thanks,
Paul

Snooze zone is:
- Rows 7, 8 on a 343
- A zone on a 346-S (row 1-6 or something)
- UC Upper deck on a LHR 744

Don't know about LGW 744s
