So we attempted online check in the day before but wasn't available, even with the help of the Virgin call centre but to be fair wasn't much of a issue really. We got to the airport on the day dead on three hours before the flight opened and completed kiosk check in which was really easy and quick. Bag drop took about five minutes and then we were on our way to the clubhouse *(I paid through it Virgin Holidays)*
The Clubhouse was really cool, not sure exactly what to expect but the staff were really helpful and the food was good although the garden part was shut off which was a little disapointing.
We then proceeded to boarding which went quite smooth, there wasn't any massive scrums for the gate or anyone being rude *like I experienced coming back from the USA*
I was in seat 59C which felt quite cramped and i'm only average height. The seat infront touched my knees. The person in front of me was in full recline all the way though which didn't really help.
Food on the way there was the lovely *cough* chocolate muffin and some orange juice and then later on was a chicken pie which I thought to be fair for airline food was quite nice although they forgot my travelling partners vegetarian food both ways so he got the Premium Economy meal instead *lucky him*.
Entertainment was pretty good on the way, quite a good choice of films/tv. I watched family guy although I watched Cloverfield on the last part of the trip which probably wasn't the best thing to be watching on the way down to NYC.
Cabin Crew were pretty standard, not bad, not good. Nothing really to report but they did everything quickly and smoothly.
Sorry if that's a bit of a pants review but i'm sure i'll improve over time [:)]
