Next week sees a new series, where, we Return to... Airport. We'll be finding out where Jeremy Spake is now, and seeing the other 'stars' reflect on the series.

Not sure how many there are, but it is on at least Mon and Tue at 19:30 on BBC2.

I love Stuart King, the animal control fellow. That horrid 'personal shopper' woman can rot, though.

Jeremy's with BA, in Gatwick.
Or at least he was six months ago, when I saw him behind the CS desk.

Perhaps it was just a wannabe look-alike?

How fabulous, although I fear Luke is already going to be moaning about us watching it....

I really hope Calvin the Air Canada guy and Anita from the Royal Suite are featured, they were my favourites by far.

But Anita was SO dreary -- how could you....

Oh. Wait. Never mind.

Carry on.

Lol [:D]

I just thought her whole OTT way of dealing with everyone and everything was amazing and SO funny. I will never forget the episode where she was having a stress because the Japanese flag was smaller than the Union Jack and then some old important Japanese woman got locked in the toilet just as the plane was arriving.

Am I REALLY sad for remembering things like this....[:?]

Who was the floppy haired blond guy working as Cabin Crew, possibly for Iceland Air? Well, he looked Icelandic, maybe he wasn't. He'd be interesting to er.. follow up with.

I remember Jeremy going onboard an Aeroflot plane and there was a smoking section, can you believe that, smoking, on a plane, how quaint.

Also, the police seemed to spend a lot of time helping the taxi drivers, who grass on the touts, so they can ply their business instead, and they claim they are providing a very reasonably priced service. [:?]

The Iceland Air cabin crew guy was called Axel I think - he was on the flight carrying their President into or from LHR.

As to the Japanese lady getting locked in the bog at the Royal Suite at LHR - just proves that the facilities are not up to scratch, irrespective of your class of travel!

The one bit of Airport I will not forget is from one of the earlier series that followed some VS cabin crew in training. One girl - I seem to remember her name was Ginnie (Virginia?) - she had failed the cabin safety exam twice & was on her last chance re-sit. The examiners all but put the 747 safety manual in front of her, open on the page with the info on that she had failed on so she knew what to learn... Slightly worrying!

I also liked the two photographers - Russell & Steve - that Airport followed. And what about that Qantas station manager - John - will never forget the scene where a guy arrived very late at the boarding gate, having delayed the flight & John asked him for his passport + boarding card and he was having none of it, almost as though it was his God-given right to delay the flight. He ended up asking for John's name as though he was going to put in a complaint about him.

As for personal shopper Corrine, I agree with Sarah & others about her... she was as annoying! I'll be watching BBC2 next week.

Absolutly loved Shakur's sense of humour,

I think my best airport moment was when Jeremy was having to look through some unattened luggage to find some ID, and he found perfumed and fruit falvoured condoms lol!

Every time I go through LHR I see either Russell and Steve lurking at the of the jetway.

Who can forget the one where they were sorting out unclaimed luggage. One of the case contained a pair of undercrackers that could of replaced the Heathrow emergency marque and still have room to cover T5.

It wasn't much to write home about to be honest. It just had out-takes of scenarios from the original programme, with recent interviews with the staff like Jeremy Spake and the two journalists reminiscing about them.

I bumped into Shakur and sent him flying,he had just waved off a GF flight and stepped into my path as I was yomping to immigration before the separation of departing and arriving PAX at T3.

Anita sometimes posts on flyertalk and apparently Jeremy Spake is working for BA CS/ticketing in T5.Ive seen the old photographer many times in the VS CH getting a cup of tea,he is on tonight getting pissed in the CH before I think the inaugural to JNB.
