Dear friends!
Thanks! It's top isn't it? And hardly rude at all. Now come on, help us here, what are your very worst and most hated words, this is subject of fascination to us. The Minglish Dictionary will need regular updates if we are to march on parliament and demand that some words be put to sleep.
Who is funky and interesting enough to feature in our Cyber Supper Club, what topic would you like View from the Cabin to cover from Crew point of view? Who has a problem we can help with in Yours Truly? It's a total service we're providing here and a nice bit of fun.
But more than that, what did you think of the system, have you set up an account and what ebooks will you make? Travelogues, family stuff, CV's, work manuals, graphic novels? The builder system is a joy to use, and we love the social networking feature and community element. The Klimt book is beautiful, and we both love Banksy, and we're sure the library will fill up really quickly with great stuff the world makes and displays.
It's much more creative and interesting than a web site, and at last people can make whatever they want themselves, so it will be fantastic for small businesses. We think it's the best thing ever on the internet. We enjoyed Myspace, but it's crappy html coding and hard to work. Facebook bores the pants off us and you can't even personalise it, so it's a dull as ditchwater to look at and full of nobbish stuff like send a teddy or a virtual pint. Rubbish. Beyond that you need to be good with coding to make even a boring template site, or you must employ a web designer and pay a lot of money. This site is totally free to use, and easy, easy, easy. It's been one of the best things we've been involved with, to see how it was built, designed and prepared for the public is amazing.
Did we tell you how we got involved with this? Well, the guys who invented this read our blogs online about two years ago, and then they read our book when it was published and loved it and we were contacted then, over a year a go now. They showed us the basic and very early system and asked if it would help people like us to publish books and novels, and could we make a fun magazine for Crew? We thought about it for a whole 0.2 seconds and agreed we could! Top fun and a great honour!
Before we knew about this we kind of thought the internet just 'existed' floating around in the air, and that it made itself with a few people popping bits up now and then. We have seen the future and know it is an immense and incredible thing, and yet already we completely take it for granted! But we do love it! Wouldn't have been able to any of this without it, or natter to our favourite looneys on here!
Tell us properly what you think of myebook, we have no axe to grind and we don't have shares in it, but Lord Almighty we wish we did!
Big smiles and love,
Liz & Jue x
