The kids went to School with Arthur Pratt and Ophelia Ball.
Could you imagine the poor lass going for a job interview and telling you her name? How embarrassing for her.
Or, your sitting there conducting the interview and she tells you her name, do you laugh or cry?
God loves Parents with a sense of humour!

In the news this week, heard about a New Zealand couple whose daughter was made a ward of court and were ordered by the judge to change her name. Can't think what's wrong with 'Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii'.
Honest it's not a wind up
Erm...we believe you... this whole thread started because of that name! The link HL posted in the OP is the story about Talula [;)]

Great to be on board. Flew for first time with VS ex Gla to MCO earlier this month (equip was VGAL on 04/07/08 and VTOP 18/07/08). Now that Glasgow seasonal flights confirmed for 2009, will look to travel VS again next year.
Anyway, and this is true too, I know of a couple who got married (now divorced. She was Alison Stevenson, he was Steven Allison so she became Alison Allison. Guess she couldn't hack the name.

We one got the receptionist at work to put out a tannoy call for Dick Pullar. This was in my less genteel youth. I'd probably opt for something like Pat MacGroyne now.
Also my friend is married to Iver Maciver although she's seperated from him (I see a theme emerging).
And I'll get on my trip report, but I've got a date with a pile of ironing and a large glass of wine right now.
