There are so many and I am looking to try get a goo deal in the Shangri La in Manila - Which site would you guys think always comes up with the best rates.
There isn't ever a definitive answer you have to try lots of sites.Ive had good rates through Expedia and AMEX in the past. Orbitz have a 20% offer code(7DAYSALE2)at the moment book by August 3rd Stay by October 31,saved me >$100 per night at The Tides compared to the best rate I could find elsewhere.This rate still has a trade off of no breakfast pay upfront and its non refundable.
It has been said many, many times on here and other websites that there is no such thing as the perfect site for getting the best deals on hotels or airfares.
If you want the best deal, you always have to shop around - just because a site is cheapest one day, or for one route / hotel does not automatically mean it will always be the best.
As Neil says Shangri-La's site has a best rate guarantee, but - as I see it - those guarantees will only kick in if you find a better rate for an identical booking elsewhere.
I usually find that the VS website offers the best fares for air travel, and I much prefer to book direct with them; but that doesn't stop me looking at all of the others before I book. [;)]

Gta Hotels usually gets good rates. They are used as a wholesaler by many in the industry so get some good prices. Or Octopus...
Octopus and GTA are the same company.
A good tip if you book one of the 'Mystery Hotels' that the likes of Lastminute.com advertise is to copy and paste the vague descriptions into Google - very often the description is lifted from the hotels website even though the name is 'unknown'.
You can get quite good rates that way and you are guaranteed certain areas and certain standards. (ie: 5* Hotel, Knightsbridge)

If you know exactly where you want, direct tends to be best in my book. Otherwise Priceline.com and pay what you want.
