Not unreasonable, they are the 2nd flag carrier of Korea. Their long haul fleet has a reasonable business class - it's certainly not a match for an upper class suite, but it should be made up for by the ever attentive east asian service.
You'll transit at Incheon airport (about one hour from Seoul) and there are various tours and activities available for a passenger in transit with a few hours to kill.
(I was based in Seoul for 18months, flew in and out a lot and alway took Asiana over Korean Air).

Thanks for the advice, did a bit of research as well and on the whole I think their J class product looks quite good, especially the food, which would make a nice change [:D] Not sure about the angled lie-flat seats was never a big fan of those but you get what you pays for I suppose. Now I just have to decide whether UC and retaining Au is worth £1.5k!

And just to let anyone who is planning to fly on Asiana that their YQ is going up for all tickets issued after 18th August.
