Just thought I'd post this as it surprised me, and in case any other frequent Virgin needs to fly into LGW from New York but unsure what to expect...

Having just returned from New York, Upper out VS001, and Cattle back VS3116 (Code share) I was impressed by the Continental ecomomy experience on their 757's for the following reasons:

1 - Seats comfortable
2 - IFE with large widescreen touch control seat back TVs (not quite V-PORT variety but better quality picture)
3 - Able to bag exit row with loads of leg room at OLCI at no additional cost.
4 - Frequent drink service through night (they said on the hour, but not sure about that as eyes closed from time to time)

Shame they charge for booze [V], although fortunately I had been at EWR for long enough to not need anymore. [:p]

Things looked pretty comfy up front as well... perhaps I'll try that next time.

Out bound on VS1 was good, though admit to being gutted to find they have closed the roof terrace in the CH now.

I'd post a TR, but then again I'd have to get around to a proper membership...

I've saved you the grief by just moving it! Thanks for the TR.

Sounds like you had a good experience with Continental, but I don't much fancy a single aisle aircraft for that duration of flight. I like to have a walk about every couple of hours to keep the possibility of DVT at bay.
