The Jade Goody Tragedy

Just when she'd achieved true legend status as a goodwill ambassador to the people of India, she is cruelly struck by the hand of fate.

I'm personally devastated by the news and send Jade every prayer I can possibly muster.

I plan to spend much of the day in quiet contemplation, reading my very tattered copy of Jade: My Autobiography and occasionally spritzing my reading room with Shh . . . Jade Goody.

Already done ... go into your local newsagent, avert your eyes from the top shelf, and Miss Goody is all over the cheap mags.

I don't know Jade Goody, I have never watched Big Brother etc etc, although I did pass her in Lakeside a few weeks back !

However, I have watched people die of cancer and have seen what it does to them(my father comes to mind - being an ex-paratrooper he was also at Arnhem so no 'lightweight', but it reduced him to a pain wracked shell).

I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy so certainly wouldn't make flipant jokes about it.

If she feels the need to provide for her young kids then good on her.

I must admit, I often see jokes that are very distasteful and I LMAO (working in the City these tend to do the rounds, especially after some tradegy or another), but I wonder if people realise what this dreadfull disease can do someone.
