Retrospective Miles More Friends?

Is it possible? A friend is currently in Florida and flying with VA. Can I do a retrospective Miles More Friends introduction for the current flights?

Well I guess if you could prove beyond all reasonable doubt that you'd explained the program to him/her and that they'd agreed to sign up but that something had prevented them from doing so before the flight you might be in with a <1% chance.

Good point, blame the VS website, always a good out with that excuse.

You could sign him up and get the one way bonus.

I think the website says that the bonus is awarded on a return trip, however the last two people I recomended were paid to me as 4xone way bonuses.

As long as he isn't currently an FC member and he doesn't have a FF program linked to his booking then you should be able to still claim MMF miles for him. I signed Luke up via the MMF link once we got home after our first VS flights and we both got the extra miles (this was in 2006 so might have changed).

MMF bonus miles could be back dated as long as you friend joins FC using your email link and claim their flights within the last 6 months.

One of my colleagues joined FC by my recommendation early this year, and used Claim Missing Miles function through FC website for a number of VS flights since late last year. I've received a few thousand bonus miles instantly - which was a good surprice when I checked my account again.

Another little change of MMF is:

Three years ago, when I asked FC, they said I can get MMF bonus for the first ten friends I recommended to FC. Once I've got 10 friends on the list, I can no longer register any friend or gain any MMF bonus miles, even if some of my first 10 friends didn't actually join FC.

I asked the same question again few months ago, now they told me, the list can be as long as I want (I could recommend hundreds of friends), but only get MMF bonus for the first ten friends actually registered with FC.

Not sure whether I've been mis-informed 3 years ago, but just for your information.
