I am a Vegas veteran, having been there around 20 times, but haven't done many GOOD restaurants there. I am going back in September for my 10th wedding anniversary and would be interested in any recommendations, price isn't overly important.

I did have my wedding reception at the Top of the World Restaurant at the Strat, but after an abysmal meal there last Xmas it is off the list, even if it does have amazing views.........

Hi greyt

As I'm sure you're aware there are so many places to eat in Vegas, some alot better than others! All comes down to what kind of dining experience you are looking for.

From personal experience I love eating at Jasmine in Bellagio. Fantastic chinese food and amazing views, even better if you can grab a window seat! Very romantic...

I've also eaten at a couple of restaurants off strip in Henderson that were very good. Can't remember the names but they were the kind of places that the locals go to.

Enjoy your anniversary!

I went to Rosemarys on Friday night. Food and service were very good. The setting isn't too hot (strip mall about 8 miles from the strip) but it is very nice in side.

Seemed to be mostly full of locals.

I love Bradley Ogden and Guy Savoy (sp) at Ceasers, and Nobu at the Hard Rock

Thanks for the suggestions. I think Alex's at Wynn and Bradley Ogden are in the lead at the moment. That's if I don't turn myself off food after the flight over with Air New Zealand :-)

One last minute passing thought, has anyone done the Eiffel Tower restaurant at Paris, thought this could be chance of a good setting?

Not 'gourmet' but you can't waive a stick at The Buffet at the Wynn!

I have to say I really like to Voodoo Cafe in the Rio - it is actually a really nice restaurant contrary to its name. You get some fabulous views of the strip (ask for a window table) as it is on the 50th floor and the food has been really good all 3 times I have been. You also get in free to the outside bar upstairs which is a nice way to finish off the evening - a glass of champagne overlooking the strip - lovely jubbly! [:)]

I'll second Prime at Bellagio; the most succulent of steaks, great service, expensive wine (!) and amazing views if you are lucky to secure a table by the window with a fountain view. One of the best meals I have had when we were there 2 weeks ago - sublime!!

Prime is always a winner and Fleur de Lys at Mandalay Bay is also well worth a visit; the Cellar Master's Table is special and overlooks the main restaurant area. Thomas Keller's restaurant Bouchon at the Venetian is also very good but then you would expect that of Keller wouldn't you?

I can confirm that the Raffles Cafe at the Mandalay Bay does an amazing 'Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Soup' combo [^]

I have eaten at 'The Eiffel Tower' and would recommend it. Excellent food and views up/down the strip.[y]

If you can get a window table overlooking bellagio fountains then your in for a good time.

How about the Aureole in Mandalay Bay? If anything to see the wine stewards climbing the 4 storey wine cellar to get your bottle of wine.
