Hi

Have been looking as the VS website and I can see that I can use miles that I have plus money for flights. I would be looking at the LGW-LAS route and I can find fares for miles plus money for economy and Premium economy but not for upper so do you get miles plus money fares for upper or is it that because LGW-LAS is a popular route that you don't get them.?

Has anyone done this and what sort of price are you looking at?

It shows miles plus money for economy for about 450, premium 850 so wondering what upper would be

Thanks in advance[:)]

Yeh you can its 15,000 miles for J.

I would imagine the reason why you are not getting any availability showing is that there are no reward seats left in J on the dates you wish to travel. You might want to try LHR-SFO and then get an internal flight down to LAS on VX.

Personally I would save my miles although MPM is often reduced for Y and W as part of a special offer.

I have just booked MPM for Las Vegas which was £866 in January. The lowest PE fare was £1021 so I saved money.

Some people believe that MPM is not a great deal given the miles you spend and the cost saving over a miles earning fare.

For me with three kids I only go away once a year with VA so to spend miles doesnt worry me, others will say different.

Personally it depends if you love collecting miles and collect enough to use them for upgrades on future flights.

Exactly, MPM fares do make sense for some people, those taking thier once a year flight may well be better off spending the miles on an MPM fare.

the one thing to check though is if there are any sales going on, we had an instance a couple of weeks ago where the MPM fare was more than a sale fare.

Enjoy your flights.

Exactly. If it works for you and you are happy with the saving them go for it. Obviously enough people still use it for VS to continue to offer it. For me it personally doesn't make sense.

Just a word of warning to the OP, if you book a MPM fare then you won't earn any miles or TP's for that flight.
