I don't believe there is a list yet of the a/c that have had the re-configuration, but AFAIK not many of the fleet have been done yet.

Hopefully one of our VS staff members will be able to update/inform us of which a/c are done.

To add to what Neil has said, here is the latest update.

As is covered in a multitude of posts elsewhere, the refit of the LGW Fleet has yet to take place

Ah, I thought the OP was referring to the new set up in the Y cabin with the chargeable extra leg room seats at the back.

Re-reading it, it does sound like they are asking about the new PE cabin, to which the simple answer is no, none of the LGW fleet have the new PE seats. VS have announced that the planned update of these a/c has been put on hold for the time being (due to the current economic situation).

Thanks for your replies, I appreciate it.

I got a good price on the PE ticket, strangley only about £150 more expensive than the Y ticket being offered.

That is a very good price, and you still get the option to fly in bubble on the LGW fleet, which is very nice and IMO, makes up for not having the new PE seats yet.

The wife and I are off to Tobago in Oct 08 and we got a good deal on PE through our booking with VH. I must admit I have my reservations based on some reviews of the LGW fleet. However we flew PE to Jo'Burg (A346) with the old wash seats. I did enjoy the extra space and service so thought it was worth it. The LGW fleet is one behind that with 'original' seats. I hope they are not too tired and lumpy!!

Welcome to the site

You will find most V-Flyers probably prefer the PE seats that are in the bubble on the LGW/MAN fleet over the 'wash' PE seats that were on the A346 before the refit.

Why are the PE seats on the main deck of the LGW a/c different to those in the bubble?

A short explanation is that originally the PE Cabin area on the main deck was UC. When suites were installed, the area was converted to PE using seats available at the time.
