I'm travelling tomorrow to Phoenix with BA (not my choice, but choice of our company!!), I'd have preferred a Via SFO with VS:D:D

Anyhow, I'm having a panic as the only seat available in Club World for me was a window seat. I get very panicy if I can't get out of the seat easily. Now I know on VS with the UCS there is no such problem[8D].

Does anyone have any pointers for me on these CW seats (facing all directions), and if you have a window seat, is it easy to get out to the aisle if the person in front/behind have their seat flat out?? If you know what I mean.......

Help[:I]

There is plenty of business class availability on the flight tomorrow. If you are an Exec Club member then use OLCI at 12:30 today to bag a different seat. Otherwise stay up late and use it!

Matt

There really is plenty of room between seats. I hate moving backwards so the Club World Seats scared me a bit so I remember this experience like yesterday.

I also recall a lady of fair build walking between seats quite freely without me actually having to move at all with the seat in the reclined but not flat mode (day flight;))

I think you should be fine but as BlackCat has indicated I'm sure you can move your seat. I'm a little surprised you can't do that on BA.com? Being BA, however, I'm not THAT shocked!

Thanks for your responses.

I allocated my seat via the BA.com website but this was the only seat showing as available.

Based on BC's comment, hopefully can get the seat allocated changed at check-in tomorrow (for some reason DIY C-I isn't working[xx(]).

Thnx again

Matt
PS. will have to let you know how I get on in my trip report

Typical of BA, but you will be able to change at check-in, as for flying facing back, initially can be very uncomfortable especially on take-off not so much for landing.

Anyway have a good trip and try to take some pics especially of their amenity kit.

Don't worry! BA NCW really OK in Window Seat, not as good as UCS, but what is? You can get in and out by walking past the passenger in the aisle, who is facing the other way, difficult to explain. I've only tried it on a day flight though. Didn't have any problems facing backwards. Apparently the RAF passenger flights used to all face backwards on VC10s etc as it was considered safer!

Hi,

Good ( for BA seats ) are on the upper deck notably 62K- you can chat to the cabin crew on take off as it is just ahead of the xit row so no problem about accessing the seat and also 64k at the back of the upper deck cabin.

You might be able to snag those ats at t-24hours when using OLCI.

Just do not expect mid flight ice cream on BA as there is not any!![:0]

Regards ( and have a good flight)

PS the BA lounge in PHX is smallish and was full the last time I was there in September ( restrooms are outside the lounge on the upper level)
