I'd bought so much stuff over the last couple of weeks that I had two very large holdalls to check in so decided to head to DTD at 8.30am and drop them off to give us more time later in the day. Wasn't sure if we had to pay for my husband but was told that it wasn't necessary as my Au card covered both of us. The place was deserted and the staff were extremely friendly, one lady in particular remembering me from my last trip only a few weeks ago. We were told that the flight was delayed by 35 minutes, we were hoping for a few hours or more but it's always the way [:(]
Arrived at MCO around an hour or so before take off, security was empty and managed a couple of drinks in the Delta lounge before the flight was called.
Another uneventful flight, we both had the chicken which was fine although a bit bland but the blueberry dessert was left by us both and my husband usually leaves nothing. VA please bring back the Key Lime Pie as it was almost worth flying PE instead of UC for.
Flight time was 7 hours 21 mins and so, although we left a little late, we actually landed a few minutes early. Both bags had priority tags on, one came off first and unfortunately we had to wait around 20mins for the other [V]
I have no complaints about any of the service either out or inbound, but think I'll be going back to Upper for my next few trips as the jetlag has been a killer for the last few days.
