Just checked up after reading the 25th Birthday thing to find out when my first flight with VS was.

July 1993 LGW - MCO (surprisingly enough [;)])

Anyone else like to add theirs ?

My first trip was LGW - MCO 1990 too, i remember it was the best thing ever and Virgin was so cool, its so funny because flying Y couldnt get any better when i was that young.
And now im older i would rather not fly, than sit at the back. wish i was 12 again!

23rd September 1984 on Maiden Voyager to EWR.

I remember the date, as it was the day after we got married and we were going on our honeymoon. [:D]

Frightening to think that it is our 25th anniversary this year as well. [:?]

1965

KLM flight. Rotterdam (I think, unless we drove to Amsterdam) to Gatwick. Final leg of a journey from Aden in South Yemen. The Aden to Rotterdam leg was by Polish Cargo ship.

Oops, just realised I think the OP is referring to VS flights, re the 25 year thing, sorry.

God knows when my first ever flight was, but i remember my first VS flight - PE to Miami,op-upgraded to Upper. I had flown concorde before that but it was my first time in busienss class (big seat!!) and I was basicaly amazed for the whole flight!! - funny how these days I would be seriously disappointed to fly with those old UC seats!!

Funnily enough, I can't remember much past take-off.. [:w]

Flying Club flight records my first flight as Jan '96, although that was just my first Upper Class flight, back in the days when Freeway (as Flying Club was known) had restrictions as to when you could sign up, and all my Virgin flights had been Economy before that. From memory I think my first VS flight was in '94 when Virgin started flying to San Francisco. Previously I'd been flying out for the MacWorld Expo there with BA since 1989 (back when I was a product manager for some Apple kit).

My first flight on any aircraft would have been about 1969/70, when I went out to South Africa as a kid with my parents. I really don't remember much about it though, and my first real distinct memory of being on an aircraft was a BAE Trident in the early-70s visiting family in Holland.

16th November 2002 - LGW-MCO. The flight was even better as it only cost me the taxes thanks to *A miles. Taxes & fuel surcharges were a lot less back then too!

March 89 Gatwick to Newark on the original Scarlet Lady in UC and back from Miami in economy on Maiden Voyager - sat in the same seats Branson did on the first ever Virgin flight with loads of leg room right at the front when UC was only upstairs. He was on board the flight and spoke to all the passengers - duty free was served by Stewardesses in Virgin swimsuits, which was easy on the eye.

Almost snap, LGW-EWR in June 1989. I also did MIA not soon after but can't find that detail.

Then I worked for a company with an exclusive deal with AA and did no VS flying until 28 Aug 1999, LHR-SFO in PE and was upgraded to UC, myself and great colleague had the two UC seats on the upper deck, front left, lord knows how we got through the airport, the champagne flowed! Become Au later that year and never looked back.

First flight, gosh, probably 1974 on Dan Air or BCAL I should think!

It was back in the day when I (a) I worked for an organisation that treated its staff doing long distance travel appropriately and (b) had a secretary who knew how things could be 'adjusted' by claiming I could travel only at a certain time.

Hence my one and only UC flight back in 1996 (?) LHR-EWR. Tripped over Liam Gallagher in the CH.

First ever flight was on a DC3 back in 1958 between Belfast and Ringway (as was...)

My first VS flight was also my first ever flight, March 1990 LGW-MCO for a family holiday, did the same flights in 1992 and then I didn't fly VS until 2006. I think the fact my first ever flight was on VS is part of the reason why I am a big fan of the Virgin brand.

Vs I think was '87, before that it was all on the darkside, starting in '76 to St Lucia.
