I Have a Virgin Amex Card (White) and I think I get a voucher for a companion flight once I have spent 20'000 on it in a year.

My question is, once I have spent that, how soon before I get the voucher? End of the year or with the next statement?!

The companion flight is added when you reach the target spend (within 30 days) and the upgrade is added on your card anniversary (again, MBNA have 30 days after the date to tell Virgin).

When it's added, you'll see it in your FC account, not on the statement.

It's £15k for the white card, and have you checked to see if two lowest fare tickets are better value than one 'qualifying fare class'?

When a sale is on, you're likely to be better just buying the two tickets most of the time (or even when a sale isn't on).

The companion ticket is, in my opinion, pretty much useless.

I agree on that generally but was hoping to use it around easter time next year to UVF when I expect the flights would be pretty expensive.

Thanks for clarifying it all for me guys.
