Hello all,

Before I call and make an arse out of myself with the flying club.. does this seem right to you guys.. to me it seems wrong.

Booked a Y reward flight using the AMEX voucher to upgrade to PE, flying out to MCO then returning from LAX.

VAA Credit Card Rwd: Upgrade Econ.to Prem.Econ.rtn
Redemption Sale:Virgin Atlantic, LGW-MCO Econ rtn -42500
VAA Credit Card Rwd: Upgrade Econ.to Prem.Econ.rtn
Redemption Sale Fare: Virgin Atlantic LAX-LHR Economy -18750

Surely it should only be one credit card reward voucher used as they are good for a round trip and the LGW to MCO flight should be a single so not 42,500 miles but around the 18,000 mark like the LAX to LHR route?

Am I right or could I not be more wrong?

Interesting - if it has been booked as two singles I believe it's the full amount per single. If you'd booked an Open Jaw then it should just use one. ISTBC as I've never had/used them.

DLRoger booked a LHR-IAD Y one-way booking for 11,250 miles. The T and Cs state: quote:Upgrades will be applied in the normal way. For one way upgrades, again the Economy fare sale would be cancelled, and two one way levels applied, thereby the Sale fare would not be applicable.

hummm.. I'm still not sure on this, surely they shouldn't have charged me return miles flight for my MCO flight if I'm only on a one way flight?

Why not give FC a call and query it, they will either admit a mistake and should credit your miles, or they should at least give you a reason for what they have done. Knowing their way of thinking/operating could allow some other members to know if they are right or wrong??

Just by looking at the numbers I'd say you've been charged miles for 3 legs. But in saying that, it still doesn't look right in the text.

I'm sure, and hope, that they've just had a heavy night on the sauce the night before, and it's just 'finger trouble'! [ii]
