from SQ.com, link above

Maybe transfer some mile to SQ or spend some if you have them. Example: 52,500 and about GBP200.00 LHR-SIN-LHR in Economy.

***Also 25% off all online booking (normally 15%)***

A word of warning - SQ rewards of more than one flight are seemingly VERY difficult to book.

Straight LHR - SIN seem no problem, but beyond that and it stumps the Flying Club who can't get confirmation of booking. They tell you to ring SQ, who tell you to ring VS. [n]

I am currently stuck in this circle, so if anyone has any tips / contacts that will make life easier, I would love to hear from them.

i tried to book SQ LHR-KUL via SIN and back using some reward miles and they just couldn't do it on the same day, plus it takes a few days to get the confirmation. It was easier to book on SQ website which had a cheap fare £600 inc taxes for when we wanted to go and at least this way i earn miles and TP's

Just to be clear: These savings are for KrisFlyer members using KrisFlyer miles on SQ.

As Nick mentioned, flights to and from SIN are easy but booking connecting tickets via SIN is an issue. I would suggest booking a layover in both directions but that could eat a good deal of time up.

Also remember that SQ allows one-way awards.

Also remember that SQ allows one-way awards and allows A380 Y awards in the cheapest award tier.

I've been in EXACTLY the position you describe (Virgin tell you to ring SQ who tell you to ring Virgin)

The way I did it on our Bali trip was to ring Singapore, and immediately tell them that you KNOW they can't book VS rewards, but (grovel grovel) PLEASE could they tell you when there's vacancies that Virgin COULD book. Find these out then IMMEDIATELY speak to Virgin (who are often relieved you've done the ground work)

It worked for me :)-

You're right about using VS miles only in Y on 380's but we did manage to wangle a cabin 'suites class' as we booked on a 747 in J that we knew was going to change to an A380 route. Lo and behold we're in Suites Class...

With two of the three daily LHR-SIN flights being A380's I imagine that they're going to have to relax the 'No business or first' for miles fairly soon....
