At least she was told of the problem before departing, rather than leave it to someone further down the line? Well done to Uniteds groundstaff (apart from the dopey pillock who started the engine) and flightcrew.

I dread losing my luggage, but to actually see it in flames would be far worse. I bet the compensation is minimal? Summer holiday clothes are easily replaceable, but if I lost a case full of business suits, shoes, handbags etc it be a disaster. I'm in a sweat just thinking about it!
