I didn't check out the sale prices other than they were less than I paid, like for like.

I remember much discussion about those so called 'Knee-Defenders' over on FT, very heated it became. They are banned by some airlines as the interfere with the proper operation of equipment, viz; the seat recline mechanism. I for one would not tolerate them being placed on the back of my seat!

I tend to compare my seat recline to the person sitting next to me and if mine doesn't go back as far then I am a distinctly unhappy Buffy. I always check behind me before reclining though and never recline while the meal service is going on. Must be getting considerate in my 'old' age.

While returning from Orlando last saturday, I had a problem with the people behind me. The Man who was sitting behind my wife complained that she had reclined her seat, and then when I tried to recline (because the seat in front had done so) I couln't as his wife who was behind me has jammed it.

I tried to explain that I needed to recline because of the seat in front but they were having none of it. At that moment the cabin crew arrived with the trolley for the empty trays and I explained my situation. The girl went immediately to the passenger behind and stated that they could not stop me reclining under any circumstances.
The lady said no and continued to argue. The flight attendant then very politely reminded the lady that disobeying an order from a flight attendant is a criminal offence and so is interfering with the normal operation of an aircraft!

I was then able to recline my seat.

I don't think that virgin or many other airlines would tolerate the use of these FAA approval or not!!

An iteresting question Helen, personally I would imagine very few of them.

I am sure the majority if not all airlines would ban the use of the device and request (instruct?) offending pax to remove it if it was brought to their attention. If you experience a problem, inform the FA straight away, don't get into a slanging match with the other pax.

I appreciate it is difficult in Y especially when tall, I never recline during meal service and if reclined when service commences I always put my seat back up in consideration of the pax behind - I wish others would do the same.

Just a little one on the end...

When we returned from MIA on Sat last I noticed that one of my Bazz approved TSA friendly tumbler locks was showing a RED spot! I hastily opened the case to find a nice letter from the TSA informing me that my bag had been searched and that any damage to locks was not the responsibility of ther TSA or words to that effect.
